Does a political endorsement mean anything to you?

When I heard of Trump endorsing a candidate, my first thought was...does anyone really care what he thinks?
So when someone (athlete, celebrity, another politician, pastor, etc) endorses a political candidate, does it have any affect on how you think or vote?

My thought was what does it matter who he endorses? But if it had been Gingrich he could have helped him financially, Romney doesn't need any money

I can't think of any time it has so I put no. I suppose there are people I would listen to about it, but I doubt if anyone here would recognize their names, lol. It would probably have to be someone I know personally and who I know has the same views and values as me and who is very knowledgeable about both politics and the individual candidates. But just random celebrities? Nope, no influence at all.

I think if someone I respected, like Dr. Dobson endorsed a candidate (which of course he can't without losing his tax-free status) I might be influenced, but someone like Donald Trump?! ha! Well, I guess it DOES influence me still...makes me even MORE not want to vote for ole Newty.

In a presidential race, not likely. In local races sometimes yes.

Certain people I know that may endorse someone might cause me to stop and think about it, but really I can only vote for who the Lord says to vote for, no matter what I think or feel, or what anyone else thinks, for that matter.
