When we lived in Israel my husband produced the next two videos of Elana Watson. Elana grew up in Israel in a believing family - her parents were key in leading in Messianic worship in the 70's and 80's. I believe they are all living in Canada now.

Love them, Sandy! Thank you for sharing things like this with us. I really liked her voice, too. I will bookmark them and maybe use them in a song & worship service at church later. And of course I will brag of knowing the producer's wife

Loved the first one. Not so much the second one because I could not understand it. The videos were great though. Always loved the song Awake Oh Israel.

In the second song she begins to sing it in English once she's into it pretty far.

As for Awake Oh Israel - that song was written by her mom! I've always loved it too!!

Years ago I had a cassette that Elana's mom and dad had made one Christmas while they lived in Israel. It was a service they were leading and they had taken several Christmas songs and rearranged the music to be Hebraic in style (same words just Hebraic music)! I loved it and I always wished they'd made a professional CD of Hebraic Christmas Music from Israel! I haven't been able to locate my tape since about two moves ago - hope to find it next time I have the opportunity to go through my things!

SIDEBAR: Speaking of video production, that reminded me of a couple of producer-types that were standing in line at a Fry's electronics store Friday nite. They were all excited about thair latest video production project. They had their Mac with them, as they showed me the Paul Mitchell commercial they had just produced.

They said that they had just had a meeting with James Cameron on some project. I first thought "That's cool." But then I thought of saying, "Cool, and I just finished having a meeting with Jesus!"

Anyway, I asked them some questions on how the latest graphis titles are done that we see everybody is doing in the closing credits - I had been wondering a long time. I have been away from the Hollywood engineering technical meetings for a while. Think there is debate on this forum? - there is plenty of religion in technology too!
