Firefox Faster than Windows

I was using Windows Vista to view FFF and the typing was slowwwwwwwwwww.............changed to Firefox and instant improvement

Google chrome is also quite fast. I think Internet Explorer is the slowest out there

This post doesn't make sense. Windows Vista is an operating system, FF is a browser. Do you mean you were using Windows Explorer and switched to FF? :)

I use FF, and at some point in the day it slows down. I have found just closing and restarting the browser corrects the problem. You may could have just restarted Explorer. But I think FF is faster than Explorer anyway.

True statement. But i would also add that Windows Vista is horrible. It's all eye candy and no performance unfortunately :(. Windows 7 is worth the upgrade if your using it for work. As for browsers, to me Chrome is the fastest ( i use a flavor called Dragon). Second best would be FF 4 i guess?

I'm still in the 3 version of FF. I upgraded to 4 but it didn't work totally right in a couple of critical areas on my Macbook Pro for me and I went back. FF is already up to version 8.01 for Mac. Not sure what it is for Windows.

It's 8.01. I started using it the other day and it's awesome! The speed on this new FF is so much faster than the others, and actually gives Chrome a run for it's money.

Remeber when you first mentioned which Firefox version you had, 3.6 something I think ? I got it and liked it, I never updated it because people said they didn't like the #4. Well last night and today it won't work, It just says Mozilla Crash report, Firefox has a problem and has crashed. Is yours doing that today? Or did you update yours? There's a 3.7 something also

I finally got Chrome installed which I couldn't do for months so using it today. IE barely works

I was having a lot of crash reports with FireFox last week too. Update it to 8.01 and the crashing stops.
