      Default A Warning Against Yoga

Where I pastor a new type of yoga studio opened. It's a chain, and it is worldwide. It's called "Bikrum Yoga". Bikrum is the name of the Hindu fellow who "invented" this style. What sets it apart from other yoga studios, is that all his studios maintain a temperature if 105 degrees in the studio while working out. Not one degree more or less. Each session must be exactly 90 minutes. I don't have to tell you the stress the body goes through under those conditions.

I came to find out about this when two women in my church who are very into physical fitness started going there. The weird thing is that I didn't know about it until New Years Eve when it was mentioned at a birthday party.

It gets interesting since I saw startling changes in the women before I knew what they were into.

These were vibrant and very vital believers. They know their bible and they are faithful to the Lord and to His Church in every way. Suddenly they started to display agitated and angry spirits. They started missing bible study and even church. They acted differently toward me and others. One was so thin you couldn't see her getting any thinner but she was. She started to look emaciated. This is the tip of the iceberg. Little did I know what was coming.

I decided to send out warnings to them just based upon my knowledge and experiences with eastern religious practices. I texted them at first and told them I really thought they were in spiritual danger. One of them, who was the one who introduced others to this, and who had been going the longest, completely just blew me off. She simply said, "Thanks. I'll look into it." The second one, whom I have a closer relationship with going back years when she was a mental mess and then miraculously delivered by Christ, I called on the phone. She is also the SIL of the other woman.

I confronted her and started off the conversation with, "So what's going on?" She replied, "What do you mean?" I, in turn said, "What do I mean? You know exactly what I mean! What's happening to your life? Something is not right and you know it." She then just opened up with a tirade against me which she would NEVER had done in the right Spirit. I just let her go on raging, and then I confronted her with the whole mess about the yoga. She at first tried to deny anything but exercise was going on, etc. But after awhile she became quiet and started to listen to me. Finally, she just broke down sobbing and I knew she was back. She literally credits me with pulling her back from the brink of disaster. She would tell you that she never saw it while she was in it, but stepping away from it she sees the subtle evil they were perpetrating upon her.

The other woman is married to the above women's brother, who is a believer. She started trying to convince her SIL that she wasn't happy because her husband is not saved. She then started to hatch a plan about leaving her husband, and told her SIL she would do anything to help her leave hers including giving her large sums of money (she has plenty).

I am really trying to keep this short. End result is, the one woman, last Sunday after church, told her husband she wanted a divorce. Just like that. No warning, no sit down. Absolutely refuses to see anyone about it. She had the papers served on Wednesday. The husband is devastated. The church is devastated. She curtly dismisses me when I try to talk to her about it. Her SIL of course is enraged at her, and knows (as I do) that it has everything to do with what she was exposed to at the yoga studio. She also knows that had I not intervened she too would be joining her SIL in leaving her husband as well. She sees it as nothing less than an evil spirit that specializes in discord, anger, contentiousness, etc., and she know it came from that place.

So far, nothing has changed. We had a prayer meeting the other night to address this and break off any spirits that have captured this woman. No changes so far. Today (Sunday) should be interesting at church.

Here's the deal with yoga in a nutshell. Basically, it's all Hatha Yoga. The Kundalini serpent is at the center of it. People have told me that they practice yoga apart from that philosophy. I say impossible, and here's why. The poses or "postures" all mean something. They are each called something, and they are designed to release the Kundalini. It doesn't matter if you believe that or not, anymore than Satan doesn't need you to believe he exists to operate. In fact, he does better in secrecy.

The Kundalini spirit is a serpent that they believe lies dormant at the base of the spine. The postures awaken and release this spirit and it begins to crawl up a persons spine to unite with "Lord Shiva" who has awakened the "mind". Once they "unite" a marriage of sorts occurs. In essence it's just simply demonic powers using a method to get you away from Jesus.

This stuff is ancient. The various Swami's, Yogi's, and Maharashi's are as revered as anyone could be by their people. I saw two of their popular ones over 40 years ago. One was Maharashi Mahesh Yogi, who spoke at Woodstock and unleashed that spirit upon all who was there. I learned TM and yoga from his disciples, and we brought that stuff home with us where it flourished. I went to see a legendary Swami named Satchadenada, who at a class produced a solid mass from his own stomach by simply reaching in and grabbing it. Don't ask me how, but he did. Not a single drop of blood. No marks, no scars. Dangerous, evil stuff.

Recently our local hospital has posted on its website that it is now offering classes for wellness using guess what? Yup. KUNDALINI Yoga! They are not even trying to hide it. They could say "Hatha" Yoga, but nope, they went right to the source. Combine this with Reiki, therapeutic touch, and other new age practices and you are likely to walk out of that hospital with more than a physical illness.

There it is. I know it's long, but it really is the nutshell presentation. Please, no arguing. Of course I'll be happy to answer any questions, but debating this in my opinion would only add another dimension to its already insidious power.

I hadnt heard of Bikrum before. Thanx for the heads up. This will probably make it's way up here all in the name of culture and progression like all the other garbage hell can scoop up.

I'd appreciate some lifting up today. Not sure if this woman will show up at church. But I sense a real battle on the horizon.

The gym we go to has a sign advertising a new class of Kundalini yoga. I'd never heard of it.

This is why Randy Clark has put so much emphasis on Christian healing documentation and warring against the new age practitioners in the hospitals. When I went to his healing school last year, he had quite a few sessions on it.
