"Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but more frequently than not struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God."

My daughter in law works in the factory that makes them. They are having lots of problems with them due to the cold weather. She said they can make something like three a week and now they are lucky to make three a month....not sure about those figures but she said the fiberglass bubbles up, stuff won't dry.
I have no idea if these wind turbines are falling apaprt because of poor consturction or what.
I've seen these wind turbines marching across the midwestern landscape and it's an awsome sight to see these huge blades lazly turning in the wind.
Wow that exploding was was a bit scarey, I actually really love to see these around, they are a wonderful site (in the right places) and they are helping to save the planet...........![]()

Jesus is the Reason for the Season - What ever the season is
It looked good on paper.
"Prayer based upon the Word rises above the Senses and contacts the Author of the Word." ~E.W. Kenyon~
Look, as it were, through a telescope that will bring it up near to you; look into hell, and hear them groan; then turn the glass upwards and look at heaven, and see the saints there, in their white robes, with their harps in their hands, and hear them sing the song of redeeming love; and ask yourself--Is it possible, that I should prevail with God to elevate the sinner there? Do this, and if you are not a wicked man, and a stranger to God, you will soon have as much of the spirit of prayer as your body can sustain.
---Charles Finney
I always thought wind turbines would be great. But I didn't think about this. In a bad storm, it could take awhile to replace them and no power in the meantime
Brake failure.
Those turbines have brakes in them to regulate the propeller's revolutions per minute. If the brakes fail, the propeller can go out of control and cause the aftermath that you see in the videos.
Also, not sure which video you saw. The one I usually see, the disaster takes place in Hornslet, Denmark, and the windmill is much smaller than the ones we normally have, and appears to be heavy fiberglass as opposed to a metal alloy.. I'm not sure if that's comforting or not. On the one hand, ours are less likely to tear themselves apart. On the other hand, if they did, it could cause more damage.
Wind turbines are pretty cool, but not practical for mass power production. They take up a lot of space and don't provide the tremendous output demanded by our power consumption rate. They currently provide about 1-3% of the world's total power. To increase that number, we'd have to plant them anywhere and everywhere, and I don't know if you've been directly under them (or within a few acres of them), but they're extremely loud. Typically nobody likes living near them. That said, I wouldn't mind having one... :)
Can you imagine the power you would have if science could harness all the wind in congress and the senate
