Where does the idea of a 'Jezebel spirit' come from. In this video, it is just ssumed. the Bible does not teach that there is a 'Jezebel spirit.'
In the book of Revelation, Jesus talked about "that woman Jezebel". She wasn't just spreading gossip. She was teaching people to commit fonication and eat meat offerred to idols. And there is no mention of a 'Jezebel spirit' in the passage. It's just not in the Bible.
When and through whom did God reveal that there is one giant principality or spiritual entity behind all these cases of controlling women? It is not in the Bible. In this video, the idea seems to be assumed. Could it be that people base this idea on what other people say, but no one knows where the idea came from in the first place? If you, as the reader, can't tell us through whom God revealed this, how, and what He revealed, why would you believe it?
This kind of stuff, elaborate doctrinal teaching on spirits that aren't mentioned in scripture, must seem really fruity and esoteric to Bible believing Christians who aren't from certain streams of the Charismatic movement. I was raised Pentecostal. There was a big emphasis on the Bible. The churches I went to believed in spiritual gifts, but I never heard this kind of stuff, and it sure seemed fruity and esoteric when I first heard it. It still seems a bit weird. What is really weird is how many people believe it, but can't tell me how or to whom God revealed it.
What about other doctrines, like the idea that 'manipulation is witchcraft' or teachings on various other spirits? Does that bother anyone else?
