      Default Healing at the Hospital

It was ten years ago this month, and I was back from work, waiting for my family to walk in, and warming up my evening meal, when the worst headache in the world hit me. As I collapsed to the floor, there was no time to cry, no time to pray, and my last thought was that this was it, and I was dying. My daughter arrived soon after and had an ambulance come for me, and I was entered into the hospital with a type of inherited aneurysm and a cerebral bleed. They waited for the swelling in my brain to go down before operating. When the operation was done, the prognosis was for
my early death or what I call brain death.

My wife would not allow them to pull the plug on me, but brought in our two grown daughters to the hospital and they all laid hands on me and asked
Jesus to heal me. She asked whole churches and individual Christians to pray for me, and many did, including Protestants and Catholics both.

I remember laying in that hospital room, helpless, and wishing that I could regain my life for another five years, as long as I could go home again and go back to work, and drive again. But I doubted that all could possibly happen unless God helped me. Later, I saw that I did not die right away, but I was not healed completely either, but I saw a Christian program on the TV that said that there are instant cures of illnesses by the Lord, and there are healings after prayer that can take alot of time. I figured that was me.

When I was released from the hospital some weeks later, I still could not believe that I was going to live, and slowly get back to normal. But that is what happened. When I realized this, I was so happy, that I can not describe it to you! A new lease on life! When almost all hope was gone.
      Thank you, Jesus!!!!!

What about those who were prayed for that were not healed? Perhaps they were ready to enter Heaven, when I was not yet ready.
      The Lord knows all.

I heard about those that had prayed for me, and I wanted to be like them, heroes. So I prayed and asked the Lord to hear me when I prayed for the very ill. The healing anointing was given to me soon after, and I prayed for all those that I could find who were dying or very very ill, and this
went on for about five years until my own healing was complete. Or at least that is when I got back to the point of where I wanted to be and I could
see no further deficits myself. I got back my job, and my driver's license and my life. But what gave me more joy than all that were those that
the wonderful Lord healed and helped that I prayed for them. Those that did best seem to be those who had faith in the Lord.

Do you know what? Those that pray for the healing of others, when those prayed for are helped...are given a reward from the Lord. Do we ask for their healings so we can get a reward? Of course not. And if we did then I do not think that the healings would have taken place. The rewards are undeserved. They just make our joy complete.

May those who pray for the healing of others, be successful and may the totally wonderful Lord bless all your efforts at mercy. Amen.
